Heidi Montag Had Her Back Scooped?

I've been asked by several media outlets what Heidi Montag meant by having her 'back scooped.' While the media outlets are swirling around what type of unusual new plastic surgery this might be, I have a pretty disappointing but accurate definition: liposuction of the back of her hips.

This area, also known as the love handle, can be very effectively liposuctioned, creating a 'scoop' or concave effect. It's one of my favorite areas to liposuction since it can create such a nice contour that most women (and men) really like. Plus, the risk of unevenness in this area is pretty low, especially compared to the abdomen, which can get lumpy very quickly (just ask Tara Reid).

Yes, I scoop backs all the time. Sorry, Heidi, you're not special in this regard.

Heidi Montag Can't Jog?

In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Heidi Montag has admitted that she can't jog due to the size of her breasts, since they are now an "E" or "F" size. She also revealed that her surgery was recorded for possible airing on a future reality show.

To Heidi: So, you can't jog?

Duh! Your implants are huge! Most insurances require 500 grams for a breast reduction to improve back and neck pain. Your implants are 700 cc, almost the biggest size they make. Of course you can't jog!

Why do we still care about her?

Heidi Montag - Plastic Surgery Addiction

The media is currently buzzing about People Magazine's newest issue with Heidi Montag. In the issue she admits to being "obsessed" with plastic surgery and recently undergoing ten procedures during one operative setting in November. What the heck is going on here?

Heidi is a 23 year old young woman who obviously has self-image problems. Because she has no real talent to keep her in the spotlight she appears to be using plastic surgery as a sad attempt to stay on the covers of magazines. While this may work for a week, the results of her surgery stay for life. Here's what I think about the ten procedures she's had done:

Revision nose job - unnecessary. It looked fine after the first one. This just creates more scar tissue which could cause problems down the line.
Chin reduction - Why? Her chin looked good before.
Mini brow lift - stupid. Her brows were not droopy.
Botox - unnecessary in a 23 year old. She had no real wrinkles before. Now she has a "Botox brow" and looks like Cruella De Vil.
Fat injections - Not needed. She is too young to need fat grafting to her face. Unless the person has an unusually flat face, I usually consider this in the 30's at the earliest.
Ear pinning - I'm unsure about this one. It's reasonable if she had ears that stuck out.
Liposuction - ridiculous - She's too thin to need lipo. She should talk to Tara Reid.
Buttock augmentation - dumb - Heidi had a very nice derriere before the surgery. She should leave well-enough alone. She risks it becoming lumpy and uneven.
Breast augmentation revision - Probably unnecessary. Unless she had a complication or wanted to downsize, there was probably no reason to do this.

Overall, a 23 year old woman should not be having this many surgeries. Most, if not all, of her surgeries appear unnecessary and could even potentially make her look worse, not better. Unless there is more to the story than there appears on the surface, I don't think all these operations were the right thing to do. Send the poor woman to a shrink instead.

Heidi Montag Wants Bigger Breasts? No!!!

In a recent interview, Heidi Montag (Pratt) says that she wants larger breast implants:

“The Hills” star opened up to Playboy, in an interview conducted by her husband Spencer Pratt, about her newfound desire. While she has had breast augmentation and a nose job, she has plans to “get a few more upgrades.” “I think I want to go bigger on my boobs for [Spencer],” Montag said.
The wannabe pop singer also said she turned to the famous mens mag when deciding what kind of fake breasts would be best for her. "When I was shopping for my boobs, I wanted the best, so I sat down and flipped through a bunch of Playboys … I’m sure as I get older I’ll need some touch-ups”

I think she's got a fantastic figure. Her breasts fit her frame nicely. It'd be a shame if she has larger implants put in, as then she would become disproportionate.

It's too bad she's such a tart and married to an annoying nitwit.

Heidi Montag has no regrets about becoming a bride

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s sudden wedding didn’t got down well with Heidi’s mum but The Hills star has no regrets about becoming a bride.

Deciding to get hitched after a few margaritas and stopping to pick up rings in a gift shop might not sound romantic, but Heidi, 22, and Spencer, 25, couldn’t be happier with the way they tied the knot.

‘We decided: “Why wait? Let’s get married,”’ says Heidi about their secret 15-minute ceremony at the One & Only Palmilla resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on 20 November.

The couple, who’ve been together two years, penned their own vows – and in true Speidi style they were over the top. ‘You’re the light in my life, like the sun to the Earth,’ Spencer told his bride.

Heidi gushed to her groom: ‘You’ve opened my eyes and shown me a new world.’

‘It was the best moment of my life. It was so surreal,’ says Heidi of her wedding day. ‘I kept thinking: “I love this man more than anything in the world.”’

The pair may have left their family and friends out of their big day, but there could be another chance to see some Speidi nuptials as the ceremony may not be legally recognised in the US.

Heidi’s mum Darlene Egelhoff will be delighted her daughter has a chance to wriggle out of the union.

After she heard she'd become Mrs Pratt, she fumed. ‘I think it’s the biggest mistake Heidi’s ever made.'

Heidi Montag's mother is devasted over marriage to Spencer Pratt

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have been criticised by her mum for getting married in secret.

The couple, who star in The Hills, tied the knot in a quickie ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last week.

And Heidi’s mum Darlene Egelhoff is furious.

‘Spencer's manipulative and seems to have power over Heidi,’ she says.

'I've been honest with Heidi, and it's caused our relationship to decline.

'I'm more devastated about that than the marriage.’

Asked how long Darlene thought the union would last, she replied, ‘six months.’

‘I'm confident the marriage won't work out,’ she tells Us Weekly.

‘I think it's the biggest mistake Heidi's ever made.’

Heidi Montag's Lips - Swelling or Overdone?

Click here for image and my comments on PageSix.com.

Heidi Montag has been photographed recently with extremely large lips. There are three possible reasons for this: (1) She's had her lips augmented with Restylane and too much was used, (2) She was only a day or so from having them done so they are still extremely swollen, or (3) She accidentally ran into a wall.
Hopefully her 15 minutes will be up soon... (but then what will I have to write about?)

Quick Hits

1. A 32 year old Toronto woman dies after having liposuction performed by a family physician/cosmetic surgeon. This is an unfortunate reminder that there are too many non-plastic surgeons who are performing plastic surgery without informing their patients of their lack of training and credentials. A cosmetic surgeon is not the same as a plastic surgeon. Click here for the article. Click here for my website page on how to choose a plastic surgeon.

2. Heidi Montag confirms that she's had a breast augmentation and rhinoplasty. Really? I didn't notice. Click here.

3. The Australian navy spent over $1.1 million for aesthetic plastic surgery (tummy tucks, breast augmentation, etc.) on its service personnel. I've heard stories about this with the U.S. military too, but have no concrete information on it. On a not-quite-so-related note, did you know that Medicare pays for penile implants for old men with erectile dysfunction? We have people living on the streets and children going without proper health care, and our tax dollars pay for this? Sigh. Click here.
