Paris Hilton in London seen bearing nippy top

FEELING a bit cold are you, PARIS?

The socialite defied the nippy London air today to head out in a sleeveless top clearly designed for use in the summer.

And perky Paris was visibly craving warmth after leaving her hotel, even if her composed face didn’t show it.

The wealthy blonde is currently in the UK promoting her new reality show My British Best Friend.

Though the only friends she needed this afternoon were a bra and a thick coat.

Mischa Barton - Aging, Drugs, or Weight Loss?

Ayyyy.com has posted this photo of an extremely gaunt Mischa Barton. What has happened to her? Her face has gotten extremely thin and wasted. Can this be aging, drugs, or weight loss (or a combination)?

As the face ages, it loses volume. The best surgical treatment for this is facial fat grafting. Nonsurgically, Sculptra (although not FDA approved for this purpose) is a fine treatment for volumizing a gaunt face, but takes several treatment sessions.

Mischa was such an attractive woman before. Hopefully she can gain some weight, get healthy, and maybe even try a little fat grafting if needed.

The singer's apparent weight gain was criticized when she sang in Florida last weekend.

'I feel like in our world today we focus on so many things that are completely pointless.

'Thank you for your support. Stay positive, and pray out loud.'

Sienna Miller was told she was too 'toothy' for cover of Vogue

Notorious US Vogue editor Anna Wintour and her team superimposed a picture of Sienna Miller's face onto another one of her body after complaining she was too "toothy" for their front cover, a new film reveals.

The decision is documented in The September Issue, an 89-minute fly-on-the-wall exploration of life behind the scenes at Vogue, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last week.

In it, director and producer RJ Cutler tracks the compilation of the magazine's biggest ever issue, which ended up weighing nearly two kilograms and selling 13 million copies.

According to British newspaper The Telegraph, editor-in-chief Wintour is shown complaining that actress Miller - their chosen cover girl - is too "toothy", while other magazine staff comment on the number of fillings she has.

Renowned Italian photographer Mario Testino took the shots but the magazine ending up using one shot of Miller's face and superimposing it on another taken of her body.

Miller's publicist told the Daily Mirror newspaper that the star was the first to admit her photos were always retouched, saying: "no one is ever that perfect".

And Vogue's spokesman insisted the retouch was not personal.

"While some retouching is a fact for any cover, no one is more convinced of Ms Miller's beauty than Vogue," Patrick O'Connell told the newspaper.

"The fact she appeared on the magazine's September cover, our most important issue of the year, is a testimony to this truth."

The documentary also centres on the two-decade relationship between 59-year-old Wintour and Vogue's creative director, Grace Coddington, who did not want the film crew there.

"The first time we encountered Grace she said, 'Get away from me'," Cutler says in the film's production notes.

"The next time I saw her, we were at the Chanel show in Paris and she said, 'Anna isn't even here, why do you even have to come around'?"

Eight months of filming and more than 300 hours of footage was eventually moulded into the 89 minute documentary, which also delivers rare insights into the other side of the Wintour mystique.

Cutler says scenes with Wintour's daughter, Bee Shaffer, and others in which she contemplates her relationship with her siblings, are among his favourites.

It is not known if the film will be shown in Australia.

John Mayer spotted with blonde

Jennifer Aniston's on-off boyfriend John Mayer has been seen canoodling with a beautiful blonde woman.

The 'Gravity' singer - who spent the night at the 'Friends' actress' Los Angeles home on Monday (26.01.09) - was reportedly seen snuggling up to the unidentified beauty at Santa Monica's Marix Tex Mex restaurant on Wednesday (28.01.09).

A source said: "John was talking to the girl, who was really cute - she was very animated and excited. As the dinner went on, John moved around the side of the table to be closer to her. Jennifer won't be happy."

It is not the first time John, 31, has been spotted with the woman, and the pair did little to hide their romantic feelings for each other.

Another source explained to In Touch Weekly magazine: "They were obviously on a date. He came in with her another time too. He gave her a long kiss before they left.

"John has been here six times in the last two weeks but never with Jennifer."

John and Jennifer began dating last April, but split in August, before rekindling their romance in October.

Since they reunited, there have been numerous reports they are set to wed, with John rumoured to be planning a romantic proposal on the star's 40th birthday on February 11.

Naomi Watts won't rush marriage

Naomi Watts refuses to rush into marriage.

The 40-year-old actress - who has two sons, 18-month-old Alexander and seven-week old Samuel Kai, with partner Liev Schreiber - won't be pressurised into tying the knot because she isn't a fan of the institution.

She revealed in an interview with Parade magazine: "Liev gave me a beautiful ring, although I'm not wearing it right now. It's not like I've grown up having this dream of a fairytale wedding.

"My mother married twice and had two divorces. And Liev comes from the same kind of background. Maybe one day we'll just wake up and go, 'Hey, let's do this.' And maybe not. He and I have a family. We're very much together. We just don't have that certificate, and that's OK with both of us."

Despite her reluctance to walk down the aisle, Naomi insists she is deeply in love with Live, a "fiercely intelligent" man who she has "always been drawn towards".

The actress also opened up about her relationship with Heath Ledger - who died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January 2008 - who she met on the set of 2002 movie 'Ned Kelly'.

She said: "It's still incredibly difficult. It was just something deep in his eyes. You could look into them, and they would tell a thousand stories in one glance. There was a wonderful mixture of power and fragility at work in everything he did, which just pulls you in. His strength didn't scare you. It intrigued you. And his fragility touched you."

New Methods of Liposuction - Body Jet and Cryolipolysis?

It seems that everyone wants liposuction without the surgery. Two interesting new techniques have recently garnered attention: the Body Jet and Cryolipolysis. The Body Jet was FDA approved last summer and apparently infiltrates anesthetic fluid under a pressure system and then immediately sucks it out with associated fat. It is touted as having less pain, less downtime, and less swelling as compared to traditional liposuction. To my knowledge, it has not been studied by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and there is very little (or nothing) in the medical literature about it. It sounds like it may be a gimmick, but at this time the information out there is so sketchy it's hard to tell. The only physician that admitted to using it in this article is an Ob-Gyn who is now a cosmetic surgeon (not a real plastic surgeon). Click here for an article on the Body Jet.
Cryolipolysis involves a chilling device that is placed on the skin to rapidly cool it. It is believed that this can create death of the underlying fat cells, allowing them to be eventually cleared away through the lymphatics or blood stream. Clinical trials are currently underway. Click here for more information on cryolipolysis.

As of now, liposuction is the only proven treatment to permanently remove fat cells from the body. Although there are some alternatives being used, none have proven to be safe and effective...yet.

Jessica Simpson faces cheat claims

Jessica Simpson's boyfriend has been accused of cheating on her.

American football player Tony Romo reportedly visited Hollywood hotspot My House on January 16 - hours after the 28-year-old singer has flown out of Los Angeles - and then invited a group of people back to the home he shares with Jessica.

With the party in full swing, it is alleged Tony - who has been dating Jessica since November 2007 - disappeared upstairs with a stunning brunette for the rest of the evening.

A source told America's Star magazine: "Everyone was talking about it downstairs. The girls were saying it was so wrong and shady of Tony to cheat on Jessica - especially in her place! I just can't believe he would hook up with another woman at his own girlfriend's house."

Neither Jessica or Tony have commented on the claims.

Jessica has recently been the subject of scathing comments about her seemingly fuller figure, prompting her sister Ashlee to leap to her defence.

Ashlee wrote on her blog: "I am completely disgusted. Since when did a woman's weight become newsworthy? How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticise a size two figure?

"I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure."

Patrick Swayze ends his treatment

Cancer-stricken star Patrick Swayze has given up medical treatment.

The 56-year-old 'Dirty Dancing' actor - who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year - reportedly abandoned chemotherapy and other treatment when doctors told him there was nothing they could do to stop the spread of his disease.

A family friend told the National Enquirer magazine: "There's nothing more doctors can do for him. We are down to the wire and the goal now is to keep Patrick comfortable.

"His condition is inoperable and they have stopped the chemo. He's still losing weight and he's very weak. He's taking morphine. That and the cigarettes seem to keep him functioning through the pain."

The actor, who recently said he was determined to fight his illness, was admitted to hospital with pneumonia earlier this month. He was released on January 16, but friends say the chest infection left the star weakened.

In a recent interview, Patrick spoke about his prognosis and his hopes for the future.
He said: "I'd say five years is wishful thinking. Two years seems likely if you're going to believe the statistics.

"There's more I want to do. Lots more. I want to last until they find a cure."

Joaquin Phoenix's entertaining breakdown

Joaquin Phoenix is "pretending" to have a nervous breakdown.

The star - who is filming a documentary about his transition from acting to hip-hop music - is apparently faking his recent public outbursts for the film, directed by 'Gone Baby Gone' actor Casey Affleck.

A source told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "He said, 'It's a put-on. I'm going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers, and Casey is going to film it.'

"It's an art project for him. He's going full out. He probably has told his reps that he's quit acting. Joaquin is very smart.

"This is very conscious. He has a huge degree of control."

The stunt is said to be a satire on stars who take themselves too seriously.

Joaquin's recent performance at LAVO nightclub in Las Vegas reportedly saw him "storm out" after losing his cool with a film crew.

A source said: "He was waiting for Casey and when the film crew arrived late, Joaquin flipped out. Phoenix yelled at the crew, 'Thanks for being late and f***ing everything up.' He then threw a CD on the floor and stormed out."He came back five minutes later and did the sound check. Nobody can tell if he is for real or if this is all a big joke."The star has also leapt on stage during a Jamie Foxx concert and started grinding up against him before stealing a woman's hair clip and wearing it.

Kelly Rowland's Knowles split

Kelly Rowland has parted ways with her manager, Beyonce Knowles' father.

The former Destiny's Child singer and Mathew Knowles - who has managed Kelly since she was in the successful girl group and also looks after his daughters Beyonce and Solange - agreed to separate earlier this week, with both parties insisting the split is "amicable".

Kelly's statement said: "Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance - both as a member of Destiny's Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family."

Mathew said in a statement: "After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship.

"As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost and as a dad I can only have love for Kelly."

Mathew hinted at a Destiny's Child reunion, adding: "My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny's Child as a group."

It has been reported Kelly - who was seen meeting with the Spice Girl's former manager Simon Fuller late last year - decided to call time on their professional relationship following a huge argument with the 58-year-old manager.

It has also been claimed Kelly was becoming increasingly frustrated at her stalling career as Beyonce's solo work has soared.A source explained: "We were told Kelly was really upset that she's not better represented in the United States. She's a big hit in Europe, but not in America."Kelly's last album 'Ms. Kelly' - which was released in the US in 2007 after having been pushed back several times to make way for Beyonce's LP 'B'Day' - reached only number six in the US Billboard 200 charts, while 'B'Day' went straight to number one.

Scarlett Johansson crazy for love

Scarlett Johansson is "in love with love".

The 'He's Just Not That Into You' star, who married her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds in a secret ceremony in September, is still crazy for Ryan but isn't sure if the romance will fade in time.

When asked about the impact marriage has on relationships, Scarlett replied: "I have no perspective on that - you should ask me in 25 years.

"I am really in love with love. I'm a lover not a fighter. I'm a real lover."

The 24-year-old actress also revealed she regularly encourages her friends to end their relationships when they turn to her for advice.

She added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "My friends and I talk about relationships and I probably over-analyse everything. But I usually come back to the same thing, 'If this person is making you crazy or doubt yourself, then get rid of him.'

"I always sort of come back to that. Whether or not my girlfriends stay with the guy at the time, they usually end up parting ways in the end.

"It sounds like I'm breaking people up all over the place, doesn't it?"

Guy Ritchie's 'worst' reunion

Guy Ritchie's dad says it would be a tragedy if he got back with Madonna.

John Ritchie is pleased his son and the singer have parted ways, and is even more delighted Madonna is distracting herself with "lots of boyfriends" because "she won't be looking for him".

The protective father told In Touch Weekly magazine: "The worst thing would be if they reconciled."

While Guy's dad welcomes the split, he says relations between the pair are amicable and all they care about is the happiness of the children they raise together - 12-year-old Lourdes, eight-year-old Rocco and David, three.

He said: "There are no big arguments between them. All they discuss is the children."
Meanwhile, Madonna, 50, has failed to buy a horse despite throwing money at the owners.

The equine loving star spotted the magnificent beast at the Florida Equestrian Show and asked her staff to secure its purchase.

However, the owners declined the generous offer and delivered a further snub when Madonna offered a New York apartment as well to seal the deal.

Kylie Minogue's kids song

Kylie Minogue has recorded a song to impress her two-year-old nephew.

The doting aunt has teamed up with colourful Australian children's musical group The Wiggles because her nephew Charles - her brother Brendan's son - is such a fan.

Kylie said: "Now Charles really will think I'm cool. I hope he likes the song. It was fun to do. I might even grab a shirt and go on tour with the boys. I'm not sure what colour I will be."

The '2 Hearts' singer features on new song 'Monkey Man' on forthcoming release 'The Wiggles Go Bananas'.

Kylie first expressed an interest in working with the group last year.

She said: "I wish I was a member of The Wiggles. I wouldn't mind doing a duet with them."

The Wiggles - who have previously collaborated with Leo Sayer and Rolf Harris - are Australia's most successful entertainers of the last four years, scooping a reported £21 million between 2007 to 2008.

Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt, Anthony Field and Sam Moran have made their fortunes from using music to help child development.

Paris Hilton's PM puzzler

Paris Hilton believes TV chef Gordon Ramsay is the British Prime Minister.

The hotel heiress made the embarrassing statement while in England to promote her new reality TV show 'Paris Hilton's British Best Friend' last night (27.01.09).

After explaining she is desperate to find a UK pal because she "loves Britain" and "London is her favourite city in the world", the 27-year-old socialite was asked who the Prime Minister of the country was.

Rather than replying 'Gordon Brown', Paris said: "It's Gordon... Gordon Ramsay?"

The star did correct herself later on, insisting she had only made the mistake as she had recently eaten at one of the famed chef's restaurants.

However, later she slipped up again when she was asked about UK county Essex, to which she replied: "What's that?"

In the show, 12 contestants battle to persuade Paris they should become her new friend.

The star has previously claimed she wants to find a pal from the country as she is bored of American women, claiming: "The girls in Los Angeles are such s***s."Paris recently hit out at critics who have branded her stupid, claiming she is actually highly intelligent. She said: "I think a lot of people have seen me on 'The Simple Life' and think I'm a spoilt airhead. But I was playing a character."

Pussycat Dolls' Lewis grilling

Lewis Hamilton was interrogated by the Pussycat Dolls before he could date lead singer Nicole Scherzinger.

The sexy girl group wanted to make sure the 24-year-old Formula One racing driver was a "nice guy" and not "a playboy".

Melody Thornton, 24, said: "When we found out Lewis was a racing driver we were like, 'Hold on a minute, he better not be a playboy.'

"So we asked him all sorts. What were his intentions, if he was a nice guy, did he know how to treat her right, did he bring her flowers and pull out chairs on dates?

"We didn't mess about and gave him a tough time as we do with all new boyfriends. We are very protective of each other - especially when a new guy comes into the fold."

Lewis charmed the girls, by impressing them with his English accent and being the perfect gentleman.

Kimberly Wyatt, 26, told Britain's The Daily Mirror newspaper: "Lewis is so quiet and well mannered and he makes Nicole happy. We love the fact that he's British."

Nicole recently said she was happier than she has ever been, and is already planning her future with Lewis, who she has been dating since last February. She said: "We'd love to have beautiful angel babies together. We'd sing 'Don't Cha' to them. Lewis knows all the words."

Pamela Anderson's Vivienne Westwood Campaign

The latest pictures of Pamela Anderson for Vivienne Westwood have been revealed and in typical Pammie style they just ooze sexiness.

The unlikely pair met at Vivienne's Red Label show at London Fashion Week back in September. They got on immediately and the designer asked Pammie to be the face of her SS09 campaign.

Pamela does not have the typical look of a fashionable with her messy blonde locks, pencil thin eyebrows and heavily made up face, not to mention her larger than average boobs but putting her with such an eccentric designer seems to work a treat.

The Baywatch star flaunts her boobs and legs in a series of shots and pulls off a coy but sexy look as she poses in a knee length skirt and ankle socks while she sucks her thumb seductively.

Our favourite shot though is Pammie been pushed around a laundrette in a trolley by Vivienne and her boyfriend Andreas Kronthaler.

We've got to hand it to Vivienne she's certainly set her apart by using Pammie instead of the usual 'fashiony' celebs such as Victoria Beckham and Keira Knightly that other designers would opt for but the result is a fun, fresh campaign that is sure to be remembered.

Kate Winslet's awards appetite

Kate Winslet is eating to overcome her nerves during the awards season.

The 'Revolutionary Road' actress admits the stress of being nominated for several prestigious accolades, including a Best Actress Oscar, has forced her to take comfort in food and steering clear of the gym.

Double Golden Globe winner Kate said: "To be honest with you, I'm more nervous through this award season than I have ever been before in my life. I'm still not used to it at all.

"I'm not exercising at all, and I'm eating whatever I like.

"Pressure? Gone! That's how I'm going to get through it."

The British actress - who strips off for her role in 'The Reader' - recently revealed she is happier with the way her body looks now and can afford to be less health conscious.

She said: "At a certain point, when you achieve a lot of your goals and you can be proud of your work, you start to relax more about who you are.

"And that includes your appearance and self-image - I don't think I look too bad for a mother of two."
